Earth Day

Today is Earth Day and many people are talking about the little things we can and should do to make a difference.

Our school has been green and blue all week and kids seem eager to participate in various ways. Today, for example, the Envirothon team headed to the Dundas Valley for a competition. I learned that most of our kids, those who live in the east end, have very little, if any, experience in the valley or even in conservation areas or parks. What is normal to me is exceptional for them. Now, that’s something to think about.

Grateful for:

  • Two wonderful teachers who spent their day in the valley with kids
  • our wonderful administrative assistants
  • the new printer which talks so nicely to Windows 7

Curious about:

  • tomorrow’s gang conference
