CDX

Today we had a Learning Day at school which when translates means that the students don’t come but the teachers do. And they we all learn together or in smaller teams. I thought it was a good day, a continuation of lots of job-embedded learning we’ve done so far this semester.

But I did learn something very new to me today. It’s called CDX and it’s an automotive online program that Auto/Transportation teachers can use to help students learn the finer points of mechanics.  Better still, it’s Ministry licenced which then saves us a bundle on the dollar side of the ledger. It looks great and our auto teacher would love to have it. Me too!  Now all we have to do is figure out how to get some computers set up.

Grateful for:

  • my admin colleagues who are great at planning Learning Days
  • our math dept and their newly developed culminating activities which make we want to be back in Gr 9…well, almost. 🙂
  • SEMS and the addition of new names to the list

Curious about:

  • how to get every classroom internet capable…easier said than done
  • K and how she likes her new Mac computer
